This week is a triple whammy of big releases with Star Wars, Mario, and Pokemon. Star Wars Battlefront is one of the largest releases of the year with a major focus on multiplayer. Players will have access to a wide variety of levels based on the entire Star Wars series including Star Wars: The Force Awakens which hits theaters next month.

The week wraps up with Mario Tennis Ultra Smash for the Wii U and Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon for the 3DS. As the name implies, Mario Tennis Ultra Smash is the latest entry in the long running Mario Tennis series featuring local and online multiplayer as well as full Amiibo support. Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon will offer a deep RPG experience with randomly generated dungeons as well as the ability to play as actual Pokemon. Enjoy!

New Releases This Week (11/10/15)

We've got two major releases this week. First up is the highly anticipated Fallout 4 for XB1 and PS4. The game builds upon the massive foundation of Fallout 3 while expanding into new territory. In addition to the wide open world to explore, Fallout 4 will give players the ability to construct and deconstruct buildings and items, and use them to build a settlement, which can attract and be inhabited by non-playable characters.

Also releasing this week is the Xbox Exclusive Rise of Tomb Raider, sequel to 2013's Tomb Raider. The game is far more expansive than its predecessor with a larger open world featuring a variety of objectives outside of the main campaign. Rise of the Tomb Raider also features a crafting system for weapons such as bows and a deeper combat system with a focus on stealth and sneak attacks. Enjoy!

This week bring's back the popular Guitar Hero franchise with Guitar Hero Live. The game features an all new Guitar designed to make gameplay easier for beginners as well as the ability to play "live" venues where the crowd reacts to how well you play. This Friday sees the release of Assassin's Creed Syndicate which is set in Victorian era London during the Industrial Revolution. Based on fan feedback, UbiSoft has opted to drop multiplayer in order to make Syndicate a bigger and more focused single player experience (a wise move considering how Assassin's Creed Unity was received). Lastly, the Zelda series will see it latest entry with The Legend of Zelda: Triforce Heroes for the 3DS. Like Four Swords before it, Triforce Heroes will expand the Zelda universe with a heavy focus on 3 player multiplayer. The game also features online multiplayer for those who can't gather up a team of friends for an adventure. Enjoy!

New Release This Weekend (9/20/15)

This Sunday marks the release of the latest game in the popular Skylanders series with Skylanders SuperChargers which will be available for all consoles. Like previous games in the series, SuperChargers features an all new adventure in the Skylanders universe and is compatible with all previous characters in your collection. Wii U and Wii owners will get a special bonus with their starter sets in the form of exclusive Skylander/Amiibo characters Bowser (Wii) and Donkey Kong (Wii U) as well as exclusive Skylanders Vehicles. These characters will have a switch on their base allowing them to act as both a Skylander and Amiibo making them compatible with all games that support the respective Amiibo character.

EXPerience Gaming will have the game and initial characters/vehicles available starting this Sunday (12pm - 5pm). In addition to the new game, we also have a variety of used Skylanders priced at $5 each which will all work in the new game. This weeks brings us season 2 of Destiny with the release of Destiny: The Taken King Legendary Edition which adds a ton of new content for existing players while providing an excellent entry point for new players to the series. The Legendary Edition features the entire season 1 (Destiny + All Season 1 DLC) as well as The Taken King which is the third major expansion that kicks off season 2. A must for Destiny fans!

Racing fans will get a new entry in the excellent Forza series with Forza Motorsport 6 exclusively for the Xbox One. The biggest new feature in the game is wet weather driving which, instead of being merely cosmetic, will cause your car to realistically skid or hydroplane when driving through puddles providing a whole new level of challenge. The game's single player campaign which is titled "Stories of Motorsport" is said to contain over 70 hours of gameplay content and will see the return of Drivatars from Forza Motorsport 5. Finally, this week will also bring us NHL 16 which is the latest in EA's long running Hockey series. Enjoy!

Another new mode is Faction Wars, where the players will have to choose one from the five factions (Black Dragon, the Brotherhood of Shadow, the Lin Kuei, Special Forces, and White Lotus) to align with and join a persistent online cross-platform competition with the others, winning points for their faction to contribute in the conflict between them, ranking up personally, and earning special rewards such as faction-specific finishing moves if the player's faction win at the end of any given week.[source] The XB360 and PS3 versions are slated to launch later this year.

Fresh off of their recent hit Bloodborne, developer From Software is releasing an enhanced version of Dark Souls II with Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin. The game includes all 3 DLC Packs (Crown of the Sunken King, Crown of the Old Iron King, Crown of the Ivory King) as well as additional enemies and NPC's added for enhanced story experience. This is also the first game in the series to grace the XBONE and PS4 complete with graphical enhancements which make the game comparable to the PC version. A must for fans of the series.

PlayStation 4 owners will get a major exclusive this week in the form of Bloodorne, an action-RPG from the makers of Dark Souls. The game has received critical acclaim and should make and excellent addition to the PS4 library. FPS and multiplayer fans will finally be able to play Borderlands on the Xbox One and PS4 with Borderlands: The Handsome Collection. The collection includes Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel! as well as all DLC (Downloadable Content), enhanced local multiplayer, and upgraded visuals. Another bonus is that previous owners of the games on Xbox 360, PS3 and PS Vita will be able to transfer their progress to Xbox One or PS4.

Sony and Microsoft systems will see the release of two action games this week with the long awaited Battlefield Hardline and episodic Resident Evil: Revelations 2. Battlefield Hardline brings urban warfare to the famous series with a major focus on online multiplayer which is sure to please FPS fans. Resident Evil: Revelations 2 is the complete retail release of the game which has been released as 4 separate chapters over the last month on Sony and Microsoft's digital storefronts. Fans who waited will get a physical disc of all 4 chapters complete  as a whole game. The game will bring back fan favorites Claire Redfield and Barry Burton as playable characters with a story that takes place between Resident Evil 5 and 6. Nintendo closes out the week with Mario Party 10 on Wii U. The game brings a variety of new features to the series including new mini-games, Amiibo support and Bowser Party mode which allows a 5th player to control Bowser via the Wii U Gamepad and unleash chaos on other players. An excellent game for multiplayer madness.

Fighting game fans looking to fill out their XBONE/PS4 collection will be able to pick up Dead or Alive 5 Last Round this Tuesday. The game is the definitive version of Dead or Alive 5 and features new fighters, stages and 1080p/60fps graphics. Friday will see the release of the PS4 exclusive The Order: 1886 which is a third person shooter that seems to mix the atmosphere of Resident Evil with the action of Gears of War. Lastly, Nintendo will be releasing Kirby and the Rainbow Curse for the Wii U. The game is a sequel to the criminally underrated and highly innovative Kirby Canvas Curse which released on the Nintendo DS in 2005.
